Is having a wide range of festives, languages and religions and culture in a country blessing?????????????

Is having a wide range of festives and religions and culture in a country blessing?????????????The one and only answer I can suggest at present is "no".My answer may be sometimes a matter to laugh at .I surely have a meaningful reason for my answer. Now many people claim having different culture and all a blessing.Even many respectful personalities,in their speech give a positive answer to the above question. So their followers surely try to follow them.
I can justify my answer through the following example:
In U.S.A,its citizens mostly speak English. So even an ordinary citizen can travel and live through the whole country with that same language. Moreover,a funny thing is that they only have to study one medium language. But in a country where there are a lot of languages,it is very difficult to unite the country and for an ordinary man it is very difficult to express his views.

In a territory where there is a lot of religions ,there exists religious inequalities. But in a territory having minimum religions ,the religious inequalities can be very less.
So there is a numerous differences between the answers "yes" and "no" for the above question.
Please comment to the above topic.I will be making a poll for the topic.

Every culture has its own values, morals, medicinal knowledge, spiritual ideas, and all other types of knowledge.
A huge amount of literature has already been written in many languages.
So, it is not practical to impose a common language or culture among the now diverse Indians.

It would have been a lot easier for some, if we were mono-cultural.
But for those who enjoy life in its colour and smell, differences only add to the spiciness.

Now, for you.
In U.S.A,its citizens mostly speak English. So even an ordinary citizen can travel and live through the whole country with that same language. Moreover,a funny thing is that they only have to study one medium language
Yes. The observation seems to be valid.

But, looking at another point of view, wherever he go, he finds the same type of people, speaking the same language, doing things in the same way.
Now, he asks himself, why he is travelling?
To get job? Right. In that case, a common language would certainly help him.

But in a country where there are a lot of languages,it is very difficult to unite the country and for an ordinary man it is very difficult to express his views.
It is not very difficult to unite, even if the languages are different. Most often, disputes do not arise between people of different languages, but rather of the same state. The reason of course, is that they are living far apart to even see each other let alone fight.

But religion does make people fight like mad. Because, different religions exist together but do not co-exist.
In the same way political parties also create disunity. But will that make you say that there should be only one political party??

In a territory where there is a lot of religions ,there exists religious inequalities. But in a territory having minimum religions ,the religious inequalities can be very less.
There is only one religion in Northern Ireland - Christianity. And half the people are always prejudiced against the other half (Catholics vs. Protestants)
So, rather than the religion, it is castes that create inequalities and the very same caste ism is what we are trying hard to remove. And racism in USA too.
If you meant riots between Hindus and Muslims, I can only say that there are always some misguided men. What can we do?

After everything, I can reach only one conclusion. Mono language may or may not be helpful. But for Indians it is better to maintain the status quo.
Mono culture isn't necessary. There will be riots between cultures, but those are just the public show of the ignorance of some and are not to be generalized.

Note: Just after finishing the last word, I had a feeling to delete this comment and go visit some other sites, because, when we think so long about something, we actually reach a point where everything means non-sense. So, if any of my point doesn't make sense, tell it loud, and I shall re-think
