Technical Language and Ordinary Language

Nullipara is a medical term.It refers to a woman who ha snever borne a child.But laity do not use it while having their usual talk.But when they use it most people do not understand what they are saying.If someone wants to show his knowledge in English,he should say that she is a poor woman as she is yet not able to borne a child.That she is a Nullipara.

Similarly If you want to talk about a woman who can’t keep her fingers away from nice handbags and cute umbrellas and all,you need not have to say that she is a kleptomaniac.You can say that she has a strong urge to steel nice things.

Actually there is no need to use any of these medical terms.

I f you want to get a route canal done you go to a dentist.You don’t have to say that you are going to an endodontist.

If u have an irregular heartbeat,that’s what u have.There is no compulsion to use it asa cardiac arrhythma.

If ur feet are swollen because of water retention,you have a swollen feet,not oedema of the foot.

Science and modern technologies develop a wide vocabulary of technical terms for the sake of precision ad accuracy.Ordinary language is fuzzy ansd frayed for scientific purposes. But the technical words of sciences are in place only in their respective sciences ,not outside their domain.Since ordinary language is too flexible it is good to use scientific language only in a scientific discussion.

Often scientific and technical terms do enter the ordinary language .These terms are mainly from mathematics and economics.

For example :-Producton is rising in arithmetic progression;prices are rising in geometric progression.The above example simply means prices are risig much faster than the production.

All the above examples reveal that mixing up of technical terms in ordinary language is really frustrating.Language is a medium for communication.It is not a medium to show one’s knowledge in that language.He can show his knowledge in that language in such a way that the other people can understand what he is saying eventhough it is a fact thatknowledge can only be expressed through language.

I cannot compell anyone not to use technical terms while speaking.But I request them to avoid its usage while dealing with ordinary people.As a layman,I am not sure of understanding all technical terms.So simplicity is good in a society,but complexity can be applied only for a complex discussion.

So,sometimes voting for simplicity is better in the above case.

Is having a wide range of festives,languages and religions and culture in a country blessing?????????????

Is having a wide range of festives and religions and culture in a country blessing?????????????The one and only answer I can suggest at present is "no".My answer may be sometimes a matter to laugh at .I surely have a meaningful reason for my answer.Now many people claim having different culture and all a blessing.Even many respectful personalities,in their speech give a positive answer to the above question.So their followers surely try to follow them.
I can justify my answer through the following example:
In U.S.A,its citizens mostly speak English.So even an ordinary citizen can travel and live through the whole country with that same language.Moreover,a funny thing is that they only have to study one medium language.But in a country where there are a lot of languages,it is very difficult to unite the country and for an ordinary man it is very difficult to express his views.

In a territory where there is a lot of religions ,there exists religious inequalities.But in a territory having minimum religions ,the religious inequalities can be very less.
So there is a numerous differences between the answers "yes" and "no" for the above question.
Please comment to the above topic.I will be making a poll for the topic.

Google Summer of Code(GSoC)

The Google Summer of Code (GSoC) is an annual program, first held from May to August 2005.in which Google awards stipends to hundreds of students who successfully complete a requested free software / open-source coding project during the summer. The program is open to students aged 18 or over - the closely related Google Highly Open Participation Contest is intended for students under the age of 18.
The event draws its name from the 1967 Summer of Love (of the Sixties counterculture), and the idea for the SoC came directly from Google's founders, Sergey Brin and Larry Page. The program manager is Leslie Hawthorn who has been involved in the project since 2006 and managed it since 2007

Some Famous Mathematical Formulaes

1)Area and Diagonals of a Cyclic Quadrilaterals
The Indians Brahmagupta and Mahavira gave the following formulae for the area and diagonal of a quadrilateral.
Area=Root of (s-a)(s-b)(s-c)(s-d) where a,b,c, and d are the sides of the quadrilateral and s is the semiperimeter; and diagonals are R of (ab+cd)(ac+bd)/(ad+bc) and Root of (ac+bd)(ad+bc)/(ab+cd)
The formulae are correct only for the cyclic quadrilaterals.
2)Sin(A+B)=sin A cos B+ cos A sin B
3)Aryabhatta in his Aryabhatiya discusses the method of solving (in integers)equations of the type:
N=ax+c=by=d or ax-by=k
4)The following is a general formula given by Mahavira:
N=[n(n-1)(n-2)...................
(n-r+1)]/1.2.3...........r
This occurs in verse 218 of his Ganitha Sara Sangraha
5)The following formula can be used to find out the sum of the first n consequtive counting numbers.
Sum=n(n+1)/2
